This variety grows much larger than typical bromeliads, reaching up to five feet in width! It can with stand direct sunlight and may take up to a decade plus to bloom a beautiful red spike that flowers along the way at a height of about 9 feet. Sadly though because it is a monocarpic plant it slowly dies after revealing its candelabra looking stem. But fear not as this plant can be enjoyed as a center piece for years to come!
